Ulan Bator to Beijing

The modern (1995) German built coach, was still heated by a coal fired samavar.

Along the line between Ulan Bator and the Chinese border
At the Chinese border, the train is reguaged from Russian (5 foot) to Standard Gauge (4 ft 8.5in). This involves lifting the train up in the air, and swaping the bogies over.

Along the line in China, the Great Wall can be seen in the distance.
